Hello!! This Risshisha's Yamori.

The last month of 2024 is December,
and the evenings have grown much cooler!
This time, we want to introduce you to Torisui,
a pepper nabe restaurant in Kyoto
that is a great choice for chilly evenings.

The location is in Karasuma Oike, the center of Kyoto.
The nearest station is Karasuma-Oike station on the subway,
but we also recommend going from Shijo station
to check out the bakeries and more!

The "Kyo Sansho Nabe'' is a dish that we recommend,
however, you need reservations.
A combination of mashed "Budo Sansho'' from Wakayama Prefecture and dashi stock
produced from local chicken makes the perfect hot pot, "Kyo Sansho Nabe.''.

The "Budo sansho'' that is used is grown in Wakayama Prefecture's Arida River valley.
"Budo Sansho" can be identified by its big, gathered fruit that resembles a bunch of grapes.
It grows amazing, fresh green fruit in the early summer.

The pot includes locally raised chickens, locally raised young birds, and seasonal veggies
such as Kyoto seri, Kujo green onions, and mizuna, as well as mushrooms.
The soup gets even more delicious as you eat.
You may make it into ramen and eat it
until the last end by adding Chinese noodles.

This course contains the Sansho hotpot as well as
① sweet onions, a sweet and spicy sauce,
and plenty of it make up "Red Oni Kushi," and it goes well with beer.
②The "Original Karaage" is very hot and flavorful.

After you give it a try, "Sansho Nabe" becomes addictive.
We recommended to be sure
to make reservations in advance if you're visiting Kyoto. 

Enjoy hotpot during Kyoto's chilly winter seasons.
We also have plans that include dinner at your inn, which is a hotpot meal.
We offer four special hotpots:
sukiyaki, chicken meatball hotpot, duck curry hotpot,
and sea bream hotpot;
however, it isn't the most well-known "Japanese pepper hotpot."
