Kyoto's Noodle Shop, Part 2

This is Yamori from Risshisha.

Today I'd like to introduce you to a popular stand-up restaurant named Soba, which serves noodles rather than ramen.
Suba, a stand-up soba restaurant in Kyoto near the Takasegawa River, serves homemade noodles on Kiyamachi Dori.

This is a restaurant with no sign;
however, there is a QR code on the wall outside that allows you to view the menu,
so you can check out today's menu there.

Tomonari Hashimoto, a ceramic potter from Shiga Prefecture,
created the two huge counters in the store.
Because they are so huge, the tops bend under weight, and when you set a bowl on them, it tilts, so be careful.
You have to find a well-balanced position to place the dish.
Personally, the most stable position was in the corner!

The shop's atmosphere is a rustic design that makes use of the unique building's large façade,
with the exterior and window doors intact, but it's an odd area that makes you want to take pictures.

This time, I chose the "Specialty! Meat Soba Onsen Tamago" from today's menu.

Suba's soba noodles are made from handmade every morning on the restaurant's second floor, using the best wheat flour from across the country.
Kansai-style soup stock is made with high-quality ingredients such as Rishiri kelp, red bonito, mackerel, and Japanese sardine.

A boiling egg is set on top of a bowl of meat!
The soba with thin noodles and the sweet soup stock suit each other and are both tasty.
The soup stock is going to last until the end.

There are many other unique menu items, such as
"local beef offal and yellow chives" ,"steamed mussels and watercress," and "Kaga Hyakumangoku Micro Nameko Spicy Radish."
The menu changes seasonally, so I intend to learn it in the future.

This restaurant is close to SGR Kamogawa, so why not get some soba noodles after a night of drinking?
