When you make plans to visit Kyoto,
Many people make plans to visit popular shrines, 
the historic cityscape, and more.
However, the most impressive sight when entering Kyoto 
is the Kyoto Station Building.
This time, I'd like to introduce you to Kyoto Station. 

The Kyoto Station Building, a structure directly connected to Kyoto Station, is a large business complex that is attracting attention for its contemporary art-
like architecture based on the idea that "Kyoto is the gate to history." 
This is the fourth-generation station, built in 1997. 
Restaurants, cafes, theaters, museums, hotels, retail malls, 
and currency exchange offices are a few of the facilities' essential attractive aspects.

There are several squares and sidewalks across the area.

Walk through the complex steel structure at the top of the Kyoto Station building and 
experience panoramic views of Kyoto's famous sites and distant mountains from three viewpoint points.

Inside Kyoto Station, there is a famous and wonderful staircase. 
Every night, a ''Grand Staircase Graphical Illumination'' takes place on this Grand Staircase, 
with a height difference of approximately 30 meters and 171 steps. 
In combination with music, shows about Kyoto's four seasons are put together, 
as are designs for events like Valentine's Day and Christmas. 
It is decorated with around 15,000 LEDs.

From the second to the eleventh floor, there are a lot of stores and restaurants. 
Isetan wants to build a department store that takes apparel, food, housing, and fun 
as fashion and is simple to visit and buy. 
You can find not only souvenirs but also anything you need or want.

Kyoto Station Building is a lovely spot that would not be good to simply pass through as a station.
