Walking around Kyoto (Mibu Kyogen)

I walked to Mibu Temple
near from office.
it was just being performed
the Mibu Kyogen
so I went in to take a look.

It said Mibu Kyogen has a
700 years history,
So it is designated as an important intangible cultural property.
Mibu Kyogen held 3 times a year.
On setsubun, April and October.
had just been performed
called "Tsuchigumo"
and could see it.
Silent play without dialogue.
somehow humorous
was drawn into the show.

Mibu Temple has deep connestion with Shinsengumi,
and there is Former Maekawa Residence near the temple.
A very nice historical building.
There is also a souvenir shop.
